Yes, within limits. Since August 1, 2025, Louisiana law allows tint down to 25% VLT (light transmission) on both the front and back side windows — darker than the old 40% front limit — and 12% VLT on the rear windshield. The front windshield can only have a non-reflective strip along the top, above the AS-1 line. A medical exemption process is available for darker tint. We'll help you pick a legal shade for your vehicle — call us if you're not sure what's allowed.
Most passenger vehicles take about 1–2 hours for a full tint job, depending on the number of windows and film type. Ceramic film can take slightly longer due to more careful handling. We'll give you a time estimate when you call to schedule.
Both block 100% of UV rays. Ceramic film uses ceramic particles instead of dye or metal to block significantly more heat, resists fading longer, and won't interfere with radio, GPS, or phone signal the way some metallic films can. Entry-level film costs less and still delivers solid UV protection and glare reduction.
Give it at least 3–5 days before rolling your windows down, longer in cooler or humid weather, so the film fully cures and adheres. We'll walk you through aftercare when we hand back your keys.
